In this article, I will show you how to use the Global Components feature. Meanwhile, let’s dive into what it is!
The Global component feature in the Landing Page helps to streamline and enhance the design and editing process. Here are five common use cases for global sections:
1. Consistent Header and Footer: By creating a global header and footer section, you can ensure consistent branding and navigation across all pages of your website. Any changes made to the global header or footer will automatically update on every page where the global section is used.
2. Call-to-Action (CTA) Sections: Global sections can create reusable call-to-action sections throughout your website. Whether it’s a signup form, promotional banner, or a specific CTA layout, having a global section allows you to replicate and maintain consistency across multiple pages easily.
3. Testimonial Sections: Testimonials are an important trust-building element on websites. By creating a global testimonial section, you can easily showcase customer feedback and testimonials throughout your website. Any updates or additions to the worldwide section will reflect automatically on all pages where the section is placed.
4. Pricing Tables: If your website offers various pricing plans or packages, a global pricing table section can save time and effort. You can create a single pricing table section and reuse it across different pages. This ensures consistent pricing information and makes it easier to update or modify pricing details.
5. Feature or Service Highlights: Global sections can be used to create reusable feature or service highlight sections. Whether it’s a set of icons, descriptions, or a combination of both, having a global section enables you to maintain uniformity and quickly update or rearrange the featured elements throughout your website.
Let’s get started!
To access the Global Component Feature, create a page. Below is the link on how to create a page. (https://support.marketingblocks.ai/knowledge-base/landing-page/) or edit an existing page. For this article, I’ll be working with an existing page.
Step 1: Inside your Landing Page Click on the “Setting icon” on the right-hand side. A pop-up will show, click on “Save as Global”.
Step 2: After that, a pop-up will show, enter the “Title Name” and click on the “Save Icon”.
Step 3: Once that is done, it will be saved on the left-hand side of the page as an “Element” where you can always drag and drop on your page if you do not want to start creating a new site.
Step 4: To edit the section, click on the “Setting icon” on the right-hand side, then, click on the “Edit section”.
Step 5: Here is how the edit section would appear.
Step 6: After that, click on the “Save Icon”.
On the landing page, we have both the Element and the Section parts. The Element is the entire page, while the section is each of the parts of the page you choose to edit and save for future use.
Now, Global components help make work easier for you. Instead of having to edit a page all the time, you can just save it as a “Global” and reuse it in the rest of your pages, including the sections like the Testimonials, CTA, Footer, and Header.
Now, when you edit any “Element” or a “Section” that was saved under the Global components, it will automatically update the previous setting you had saved.
Step 7: On the Landing page, when you click to edit a section, you will see a “Global icon”, click on it.
Step 8: A pop-up will show up.
Step 9: Once that is done, it will show up on the left-hand side of the menu bar.
Step 10: For the “Section” click to edit any part of the page.
Step 11: A pop-up will show up, give it a “Title” and “Save” it.
Step 12: After that, you can choose to edit it as a “Global Component” and save it or “Unlink” it.
